Wahoo – Don’t Take It Personal (Georg Levin Edit)

Marking the 15th anniversary of Dixon’s & Georg Levin’s album „Take It Personal“ under their moniker Wahoo, we proudly re-release their classic „Don´t Take It Personal (Georg Levin Edit)“ featuring Paul Randolph.

Originally a B-Side of the single „I’m Your Lover“, this alternative version of the album’s opener quickly became a fan favorite & was featured, among others, on Gilles Peterson’s „In the House“ on Defected.

It was not until last year when Moodymann put this version on a playlist he curated for GTA that we found out that it was not available on streaming platforms. At the end the track didn’t made it into the game but at least we got reminded that this one exists.

Still sounding fresh & genuinely soulful, the song’s lyrics could not have been more timely as a mantra for this day and age: „Whatever comes around, don’t let it get you down, you’re on solid ground – don’t take it personal.“
