.mulitbeat – Use Your Noggin
.multibeat Share New Instrumental Single Use Your Noggin
Dutch collective .multibeat continue the rollout of their forthcoming album OOO with the release of “Use Your Noggin”, an energetic instrumental that places the trio’s groove-first approach firmly in the spotlight.
Following the soulful collaborations of Please Hold Me featuring Säm Wilder, Flyyy with Casiio and Monochrom featuring vAn, the Utrecht-based trio turn the focus back to their core chemistry as musicians. Driven by frantic drums, warm basslines, glowing synths and jazz-infused keys, Use Your Noggin is a playful yet tightly crafted piece that captures the spontaneity and rhythmic interplay at the heart of .multibeat’s sound.
The track emerged during the recording sessions for OOO, inspired by marathon GeoGuessr sessions and deep lunchtime YouTube rabbit holes while the band spent countless hours in the studio bringing the album to life.
As the trio explain:
“This track is all about the energy of the rhythms and the melodic hook that ties you in and doesn’t let you go!”
Set for release on 25 September, OOO marks .multibeat’s debut on Sonar Kollektiv. Blending hip-hop, jazz and contemporary beat culture, the album reflects the collective’s collaborative spirit while staying true to their live musicianship. Alongside instrumental explorations, it features contributions from Säm Wilder, Casiio, vAn, TOS, Neema Nekesa, Noflik and longtime collaborator Paul van de Calseijde.
“Use Your Noggin” is out now on all digital platforms.
