I Human (Mike Huckaby Remixes)
The musical connection between Berlin and Detroit has always been a very strong and inspring one. Jazzanova continues this close dialogue by putting Mike Huckaby in charge of remixing their latest song I Human. Huckaby is one of the heroes of Detroit techno. With his highly acclaimed deep house productions and remixes for Deepchord, Juan Atkins, Vladislav Delay, Pole, Loco Dice, LoSoul, and Pacou, (just to name a few) he is more than well respected in the city’s underground community ‚and way beyond.
His remix for Jazzanova’s latest track (off the brilliant album “Funkhaus Studio Sessions”) ‚split into two pieces on this 10inch, is a belter by all means. Huckaby is putting his very own distinctive touch to this rework: A groovy rhythm section is added for extra emphasis on the dancefloor. And as the track builds we find ourselves in deep house heaven screaming for more. You better order two copies of this limited 10inch, in order to seamlessly mix Part 1 into Part 2 – or vice versa.
