I Human feat. Paul Randolph Remixes 2 (Red Rack’em / Mario&Vidis / Vakula)
The second remix 12inch for Jazzanova’s “I Human“ is another stunning collection of reworks by some of today’s finest club music producers.
Over the last few years Danny Berman aka Red Rack’em has built a steady and devoted following (including Gilles Peterson) – primarily with original material for labels like Tirk, Undertones or Bergerac and also his own imprint Red Rack’Em. Assigend by Jazzanova for one of his first remixes the now Berlin based British DJ/producer did more than just a good job. His remix has the Berlin deephouse stamp all over it but is still edgy enough to stand out in the middle of any DJ set – even outside of Berlin.
Not only one of Jazzanova’s favourite current DJ/producers Vakula is regarded by many clubbers as one of the biggest name in the dance music circus right now. Almost nobody’s productions sound so fresh and 2012 like the ones by Mikhaylo Vityk from Konotop, Ukraine. The man is on a roll – as you also can hear with this dashing rework. He’s sticking to the jazzy rhythm of the original but even adds fuel to the fire by amping up the crashes and cymbals. Sure shot!
It’s been two very productive years for the Lithunian duo of Marijus Adomaitis and Vidmantas Cepkauskas, better know as Mario & Vidis. But it seems that the twosome is not running out of breath. Here comes another blinding remix from their lab. A dubby, dark affair with emphasis on the throbbing bassline. Which comes through even stronger on the dub version (available on digital release).
