Jazzanova – Another New Day (Jacana People Remix)
As part of the 20th anniversary celebration of Jazzanova’s seminal debut In Between, Sonar Kollektiv continues to unveil standout reinterpretations by a new generation of boundary-pushing producers. The latest comes from UK duo Jacana People, whose kaleidoscopic remix of Another New Day offers a luminous, genre-blurring take on one of the album’s most uplifting cuts.
Jacana People’s version glows with melodic ambience and propulsive energy—blending bumping kick-drums, hang drums, and shimmering synths into a sound that’s simultaneously hypnotic and heartfelt. Built on a warm, club-informed framework, their remix is rich in texture and emotional depth, bringing a fresh momentum to Jazzanova’s classic without losing its optimistic core.
With roots in ambient, ’90s house, and techno, Jacana People have emerged as one of the UK’s most promising electronic acts. Their music has earned over 30 million streams and support from Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal, as well as airplay across BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music. Collaboration has been central to their approach—from projects with Barry Can’t Swim, Emancipator, and Anna Phoebe to musical nods to icons like Brian Eno and Kieran Hebden.
“Another New Day (Jacana People Remix)” is the final single from In Between (Remixes), a genre-spanning celebration of Jazzanova’s lasting legacy. The full album features reinterpretations by Crackazat, Eric Hilton (Thievery Corporation), Satin Jackets, Kid Fonque, The KBCS, Groove Chronicles, Magro, Nautilus, DJ Slowz, and Paskal & Urban Absolutes.
The remix album bridges generations and genres—future jazz, deep house, nu-disco, broken beat, and Afro-inspired rhythms—all reimagining a record that helped define early 2000s electronic soul.
Full remix album out October 17, 2025 via Sonar Kollektiv: https://sonarkollektiv.lnk.to/InBetween-Remixes
