Franck Roger – Back And Forth EP
After the last more techno oriented release Where We At by HENRIK SCHWARZ, ÂME and DIXON we continue the prolific Innervisions Series in a New York house style. FRANCK ROGER is without a doubt deep house producer of the hour with a consistent high quality output level. His releases on prestigious and well respected labels such as Versatile, Kenlou, Needs, BBE, Sole Channel and King Street among the highlights on his own Real Tone imprint raised him high on DIXON´s wish list for a 12” on Innervisions. Fresh after releasing his latest Album on Seasons Rec and remixing JAZZTRONIK as well as ROY AYERS we witness more of his rougher side on his Innervisions debut. A filtered guitar and Saxophone accents give the tune an organic note without loosing the plot next to the clever synth harmonies and bumpy bass lines.
Being influenced by artists like STEVIE WONDER, VINCE MONTANA, MONGO SANTAMARIA and BLAZE, FRANCK has developed a quality house sound in the past 6 years that shows many different faces. Whether deep, dubby, broken or soulful you can always recognise his special trademark. It seems as if these diverse facets merge into one in the 2 versions you have here resembling a little summary or essence of his exceptional talent. With strong support from abroad by musicians and DJs like LITTLE LOUIE VEGA, FRANKIE FELICIANO, DJ SPINNA, RON TRENT, OSUNLADE and FRANCOIS K, FRANCK ROGER can prepare his future productions by exploring different horizons open to him and by collaborating with artists from the likes of ALIX ALVAREZ, ARNOLD JARVIS, OSUNLADE and MR. V.
As a bonus you will find the “Beats” on the B-side.
