Flo Naegeli – Freedom
Flo Naegeli Releases New Single “Freedom”
Today we share “Freedom,” the fourth single from Flo Naegeli’s upcoming Lush Life EP, arriving soon on Sonar Kollektiv.
Originally from the Bavarian forests of southeastern Germany, Flo’s musical journey began early. At just seven years old he was already playing folk accordion before discovering the electric guitar in his teenage years, inspired by artists like Prince and Jimi Hendrix. Years of dedicated practice eventually led him to study music and build a career as a professional musician.
After spending years performing in bands, Flo gradually turned his focus toward solo work, embracing self-production tools like Logic and shaping a sound that blends soul, folk and indie influences with an intimate songwriting style. Along the way he confronted the self-doubt that often comes with working alone, ultimately finding strength and clarity through his art.
With “Freedom,” Flo shares one of the most personal moments on the forthcoming Lush Life EP. The song is a tribute to his mother and the quiet strength with which she guided the family through difficult times. Balancing tenderness with determination, the track celebrates resilience and the support we find in those closest to us.
Musically, “Freedom” carries a warm, uplifting feel. Flo performs bass, synthesizers, piano, percussion and electric guitar himself, joined by Stephan Salewski on drums. Together they create a soulful arrangement that frames Flo’s expressive vocals and the song’s hopeful message.
“Freedom” stands as both a celebration of courage and a reminder of the quiet power that comes from leaning on one another when life asks the most of us.
