Don Philippe – exposed
Don Philippe shares new single “exposed” – second release from upcoming album Velvet Breaks
Now available on all digital platforms | Vinyl & album pre-order open
Following the release of his first single “of composition”, lo-fi producer and beatmaker Don Philippe returns with “exposed” — the second single from his forthcoming instrumental album Velvet Breaks, out October 10, 2025 on Sonar Kollektiv.
Built around delicate melodies, warm tape hiss, and subtly broken drum grooves, “exposed” continues the album’s deeply introspective journey. As its title suggests, the track feels raw and vulnerable — an intimate moment captured through analog textures and cinematic soundscapes.
Don Philippe, also known as Philippe A. Kayser, is a founding member of German hip-hop legends Freundeskreis and has been shaping the sound of lo-fi instrumental music for years. Since 2015, he has released over ten solo albums, blending jazz, soul, and hip-hop influences into his distinctive beat-driven sound.
Velvet Breaks will be released on vinyl and digital formats on October 10, 2025. The album is available for pre-order now.
