Alexander IV – Touch of Gold
Alexander IV Drops “Touch of Gold” – A Bold, Beat-Switching Opener to Upcoming Album Alchemist
Following the soulful debut single “This Won’t Do” featuring Cézanne, Dutch producer and multi-instrumentalist Alexander IV returns with the second single from his upcoming album Alchemist. Titled “Touch of Gold”, the new track sets the tone for the album with a cinematic jazz sample, a head-fake of an intro, and a signature beat flip that balances elegance with grit.
“I absolutely loved making this track and it came together quickly and naturally,” says Alexander IV, aka Joris Feiertag. “The jazz sample instantly grabbed me, and right away I had the idea for that syncopated beat switch at the beginning—just to throw listeners off. I love how the smooth jazz flips into a gritty hip-hop beat right after. When I created Touch of Gold, I knew immediately it had to open the album.”
Touch of Gold is an instrumental statement piece that encapsulates Alexander IV’s sonic identity—rooted in beat culture and jazz, influenced by artists like Kruder & Dorfmeister, SAULT, and Mr. Scruff, and layered with a level of detail that rewards repeat listens.
With its warm textures, chopped samples, and confident rhythmic shifts, Touch of Gold isn’t just an intro—it’s a mission statement for Alchemist, a record built on transformation, nostalgia, and deep musicality.
The full album Alchemist arrives in March 2026 via Sonar Kollektiv:
