RAS – Diggin’
Again as in the previously released EP Exit Routine (SA2003) the uplifting percussive rhythms and a strong “unisonso” brass section get you into the groove.
If you check the A-Side you will hear that special afro-feeling along the musical paths of Fela Kuti and Tony Allen. The brass melody, the rolling snare and the steady rhodes rhythm bring in that special “High Life” Feeling.
On the B-Side are two mixes, the first one “Diggin Forward” is a dub-funky-off version with an extended brass line. The sub-bass and the swimming sinus chords give this mix a deep going pressure with hip swinging percussions. The second mix “Diggin with delay” is an elektro-version of the tune.
