Pugs Atomz & Inkswel – Invite The Light
In April the first (and hopefully not last) collaboration between Chicago rap veteran Pugs Atomz and Australian producer Inkswel will fruit the longplayer «The Moon». «Invite The Light» is the first song off this hiphop album deeply rooted in the rich heritage of the art form but also exploring its boundaries.
The soulful song pays tribute to Chicago greats like Common or Chance The Rapper but lyrically focuses on the here and now reasoning with this age we’re living in. Australian singer and longtime ally of Inkswel, Planetself (aka Charli Umami), delivers the encouraging hook line which you will have stuck in your head for days on end.
