Worldwide FM Berlin #29 – Feiertag
Feiertag is the alter ego of the Dutch live-act Joris Feiertag. Recording and performing since 2015, his sound can be described as electronic yet warm, and with a preference for innovative syncopated rhythms combined with fragments of instruments such as the harp and kalimba.
Integrated with a varied range of international vocalists, creating a beautiful mix of chill, vibrant music easy to listen to which in return translates beautifully to live electronic music.
His background as a professional drummer resonates in his live-act, for which he travels with a full drum-kit and electronic equipment ensemble. Feiertag’s ability to challenge both his electronic music and drumming skills create an intense and dynamic live performance which he has demonstrated on stages such as Down The Rabbit Hole, Pitch Festival and the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).
Feiertag has released with Majestic Casual, Chillhop, Last Night On Earth, Boogie Angst and Kitsune.
His latest project is his EP ‘Virtues’ (via Majestic Casual). It renders Feiertag’s deeply rooted hip-hop beats, as well as his soulful taste with a touch of electronic vibes set for a chill, ardent undertone.
