The Space In Between with Delfonic // 09-15-2023
We’re back with another episode of “The Space In Between”. This time we’ve invited the incredibly busy DJ, producer, label manager as well as a long time label friend Delfonic (Illegal Jazz, Toy Tonics, whatpeopleplay).
With a history in digging and an unquestionable love for music, Markus Lindner, a.k.a. Delfonic, is one of the most versatile and informed DJ as they come.
He used to be the key character concerning music knowledge in Berlin. After a long decade at OYE records store he left the business to become a 100% touring DJ and also joining Kapote to do a series of Dance Jazz Edits (Illegal Jazz) which create a massive buzz in the new house and funky dance world (support from Gilles Peterson, Honey Djoon and many others).
Delfonic applies his broad knowledge of music styles to almost any setting, and is renowned for blending multiple genres, eras and disciplines throughout his sets. An open-minded talent, with an uncompromising approach to DJing, he employs a style schooled from an upbringing in hip-hop.
