With EFDEMIN, LEN FAKI and SAMIM, MLADEN SOLUMUN aka SOLOMUN has been one of the producers to look out for in 2007. This passionate Bosnian DJ has been bubbling under for some time now. For four years he has been hosting the club “DIY” in Hamburg and for now 2 years he has been concentrating on his own label Diynamic Music, which has emerged as one of the most interesting up-and-coming imprints around. Moreover SOLOMUN is not the kind of guy, who is afraid to lend his talents to other labels. After amazing works for labels such as liebe*detail, Dessous, Four:Twenty and the amazing tracks Keep Control, Black Rose and White Rose on TRICKSKI’s Members Of The Trick series (SK --- & SK 164), SOLOMUN is back on Sonar Kollektiv with a wonderful remix of Around The World. And like everything he’s done of late, this one is keeper. Indeed his version of DAFT PUNK/CHRISTIAN’s tune is a proper orchestral dance floor hypnotizer made up of extra deep and dry minimal beats that will get the crowd raving till the sun is high up the sky. On the flipside SAMON WAKAMURA – half Japanese, half German instrumental hip-hop producer and good friend of ROBERTO DI GIOIA, who recorded the keyboards on his first album Translations released in 2007 on Nesola Records – goes for chill-out version of Around the World. His remix reminiscent of DJ SHADOW, J DILLA or MADLIB productions is a great an abstract journey that feels like a sunny Sunday afternoon with friends after a big night clubbing. This version is the perfect to answer to SOLOMUN late night anthem and will bring you back on earth safely with a huge smile on your face.
