All this and more can now be found in a condensed form on the new ...Broadcasting-Compilation which he did with JAZZANOVA (SK144CD).

The collections enormous spectrum spans from broken beat through soulful downbeat to hip hop. Indeed maybe the most important of many red threads that stretch the length of the selection is folk orientated song writing. No wonder as for DIRK RUMPFF it’s all about a certain kind of timelessness, he's interested in already seasoned tracks which although they have been around for a while already have by no means yet reached their half life.

DIRK RUMPFF has managed to get almost all the contributions on this compilation as exclusive tracks which the artists have made available solely for this mix! This is also true for the tunes on this 12". DEGO from 4HERO has already said how thrilled he is with the lead tracks as well as the instrumental on the B side: when he was recently at JAZZANOVA's club night Kaleidoskop he gave Turn It On the title: „best track thats's been played this evening...".

The track has been produced by London Broken-Beat wizard MARK PRITCHARD, an old companion of 4HERO and KIRK DEGIORGIO, who is currently releasing above all under one of his many pseudonyms, TROUBLE MAN, on the rated London Label Far Out Recordings. With countless remixes and releases on labels such as Warp and Ubiquity, MARK PRITCHARD belongs to the most important protagonists of the London producer-scene.


Last but not least, the vocals on Turn It On are by STEVE SPACEK. The London singer has gained renown with albums on (among others) the labels Far Out Recordings and Studio !K7. So far he has been compared with PRINCE or even MARVIN GAYE...
