PAUL BRYAN is the pseudonym that Sérgio Sá, a blind-born keyboard player with a long and successful musical career in Brazil as composer, producer and arranger, used to produce the album. Following the outstanding success of Listen Of that sold more than 150 000 copies in 1973, Sérgio became requested for musical arrangements and recorded in studio with famous artists like 'the king' roberto carlos, GILBERTO GIL, simone, Tim Maia, HERMETO PASCHOAL, Fábio Júnior, jane duboc and the trapalhoes amongst many others. To create Listen of Sérgio found his inspiration in the music of THE BEATLES, LENNON and MAC CARTNEY and hits of the American Motown label and artists such as JACKSON 5, DIANA ROSS and STEVIE WONDER. The romantic ballad Listen peaked up the Brazilian charts in 1973 and was used in a successful Brazilian soap. JAZZANOVA decided to pick up this beautiful piece of folk for digital release on their sub-label Digital Kollektiv. With its heavenly harmonies and a beautiful orchestration made of woodwinds and string instruments played by the PAULISTA SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA, Listen is a real forgotten radio hit that will take at the heart of all its listeners.
