After numerous 12“ releases, remixes and compilation appearances on labels such as Svek, Compost, Fabric and LOUIE VEGA and KENNY DOPE’s Master At Work, Stockholm’s MARKUS ENOCHSON, who already had one solo 12“ Got To Let You Know (SK035) on JAZZANOVA’s label, released his critically acclaimed debut album Night Games (SK112CD/LP) on Sonar Kollektiv in September 2006. Covering all corners of the dance music spectrum, from House and Techno, to Jazz and R&B and featuring many amazing guest singers such as JAMES INGRAM, JOCELYNE MATHIUE, MASAYA, RACHEL WILKIE and CORNELIA to name but a few, Night Games (SK112CD/LP) has been praised as one of the freshest House records of the year. In 15 tracks wonderfully all-over the music map MARKUS ENOCHSON demonstrated to many observers that Soul music comes in many different shapes and forms and that in Music „Everything is Possible, Nothing is Wrong“.

Take Me Away that features the sweet voice of gifted scandinivian singer CORNELIA was probably one of the highlights of the whole album. The Sonar Kollektiv crew did not forget it and decided to release a special remix treatment on their sub-label Digital Kollektiv, that would give to this poppy number the spotlight it deserves. And choosing a remixer for that track was nothing of a Cornelian dilemma! Who else than Berlin’s first lady of Dub, Electro and House a.k.a. EVA BE could it be? In three years time she became one of Sonar Kollektiv’s most respected artists. She collaborated with FAT FREDDYS DROP’s singer JOE DUKIE on her first E.P. Eve’s Time Tonite (SB7014) and this 12“ became an hot item in record stores worldwide. After remixing artists and bands such as DUPLEX INC., YE:SOLAR and being remixed by artists like SOULPHICTION and TOLCHA and putting out another very successful E.P. entitled Allée Virée (SB7016) on DANIEL W. BEST Best Seven Imprint, she released her debut album Moving Without Traveling (SB CD0007/SB 7020) with MICATONE’s BORIS MEINHOLD, which is a wonderful invitation to travel with your ears. It was then clear that she would be the right artist to give a reboosting treat to ENOCHSON’s Take Me Away.
EVA BE’s rework is tailored for electro and dub dancefloors. She added extra spices to the original with very catchy guitars riffs and a dirty bassline over a cheeky dub beat. She also made great use of many different sorts of echoes that highlight CORNELIA’s voice perfectly and will make people bounce on the floors. Also included a nice radio version that will blast your stereo and fill your body with dub energy.
