In three years time EVA BERNHARD a.k.a. EVA BE became one of the most respected artists on Sonar Kollektiv. She collaborated with FAT FREDDYS DROP’s singer JOE DUKIE on her first E.P. Eve’s Time Tonite (SB7014, 2004) and this 12“ became an hot item in record stores worldwide. After another very successful E.P. entitled Allée Virée (SB7016, 2005) on DANIEL W. BEST Best Seven Imprint she received many remix requests and released a handful of them for various artists such as DUPLEX INC., MICATONE, YE:SOLAR, MARKUS ENOCHSON or TOLCHA. She recently released her first album Moving Without Traveling (SBCD0007/SB7020/dem roots). On this production EVA BE worked together with BORIS MEINHOLD, who plays guitar for the wonderful MICATONE. With him EVA BE explored the interface between dub and electronica and produced an impressive debut album that provides a chance for listeners to be captured and entranced by an inviting, well-polished and very personal soundscape.

She Walks Alone is one of the highlights of her debut album. She asked actress and friend PEGAH FERYDONI (‘famous German actor, e.g.Türkisch für Anfänger) to lay her soft and delicate voice on BORIS MEINHOLD’s guitar for this beautiful and folk-influenced ballad. Exclusively for Digital Kollektiv Best Seven label mates and good friends FROST & WAGNER deliver a soulful remix treatment. These 2 excellent musicians, who have long been part of Berlin’s reggae scene and who also released on G-stone recordings, made a name for themselves with Big Disgrace (SB7015, 2006) on DANIEL W. BEST’s label. For this remix they decided to let their their soul speak. The result is simply amazing. Blended with dub influences their version also brings an extra groove to the original without losing its charm.

Digital Kollektiv also brings a second and exclusive track that will please of the fans of the first lady of electro, dub and house. EVA BE teamed with YE:SOLAR a.k.a „ Berlin’s freshest trio at the moment“ famous for their high-energy live performances and provided with them a great club-event with fresh live music and a stirring blend of jazz, house and electro that works like wonder on the dancefloors. With EVA BE they remixe themselves, switch from vinyl to live music and even provide a video show with freaked-out visuals. Thanks to the success of that show EVA BE had the opportunity to record a live version of their hit Eggsample released on Vinyl Vibes at Fritz Radio. This groovy electro-dub number is a pure party track that will make people dance and jump till their feet fall off!
