About Reconcile – Jono McCleery’s 8th LP
Reconcile marks a significant turning point in Jono’s musical evolution. The album was recorded largely in isolation, allowing Jono to delve deeply into the intimate and intricate vocal arrangements he’s always wanted to explore. The result is a rich, soulful sound that combines acoustic instruments with subtle electronic textures, creating a timeless yet contemporary feel.
Jono’s decision to record Reconcile alone in a cabin surrounded by nature allowed him to fully immerse himself in the creative process, capturing a raw and unfiltered version of his art. “This album represents a restart,” Jono explains, “and I’m excited for it to be my first release with Sonar Kollektiv.”
The album’s artwork, created by Jono’s daughter, adds another layer of personal connection to the project. The design, which depicts a flower that has endured hardship yet continues to shine, mirrors the themes of resilience and hope within the music.
